Chapter 01.001 || Gen 01 || Chapter 01.003
I had so many ideas for my house. So many possibilities! They were endless! How would I ever decide?
Well, if Trendi could make me a millionaire with one outfit, then surely a proper beach mansion would be the best option, right? I began drawing a floor plan idea in the sand. If I could settle on where all the rooms would go, furnishing it would be a piece of cake, right? I mean, as long as the SimRay actually worked the way the letter described.
Once I had settled on a floor plan, I pulled out the SimRay and turned it on. According to the instructions, I simply needed to scan the area that was being edited, then draw the shell of the house in an app on the SimRay’s retractable screen panel, drag furniture from the catalog into the shell, transfer the required funds from my bank to the SimRay, and pull the trigger.
I didn’t expect much, after all what could a little SimRay really be capable of? But to my shock, the moment I pulled the trigger…
No way! It actually worked?! I couldn’t believe it actually worked! Oh, I could only imagine what kind of money I could get from selling this SimRay to construction companies! But I wasn’t going to do that. After all, who knew when I might want to renovate my new house.
I climbed the stairs to the second floor of the house, where the front door was. This really was a fancy house, with the front door on the second floor. The front entryway had a family portrait, perfect for when I started a family. There were also two thrift racks, so I could thrift my little heart out and sell the outfits without ever having to travel to Thrift-N-Sip again.
Just past the front entryway was a hallway that spanned the length of the entire house. Across the hall from the entrance was a little mausoleum, perfect for honoring the dead. I fully intended for my family to live in this house for at least ten generations, as a proper legacy family, so there were ten memorial altars for those ten generations. And just outside the mausoleum was a balcony for gardening and stargazing.
The house had ten bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The walk-in closets and ensuite bathrooms were all identical, and the bedrooms were all almost identical, but each bedroom had its own special activity to enjoy. From a robotics station to a music mixing station, there was no shortage of activities in the bedrooms. Eight of the bedrooms were on the second floor, and two of them were on the third floor.
The third floor also had a seance room directly above the mausoleum. It would be great for contacting the spirits of ancestors and discussing family history. Plus, with the energy of the dead rising up from the mausoleum, it was the perfect spot!
Across from the two third-floor bedrooms was a nursery and a playroom, each with its own bathrooms. There were enough beds for three newborns, three infants, and three toddlers, plus plenty of toys for them to play with.
Across the hall from the seance room was a music room. It had every musical instrument imaginable, plus a dance floor and a DJ booth. It even had a karaoke machine! This would be the perfect place for a dance party!
Down on the first floor there were more activities to enjoy. There were two laundry rooms, one with a litter box for cats and one with a vacuum cleaner. Sure, the halls each had two robot vacuums, but the attic didn’t have enough room for one so a manual vacuum cleaner would be necessary up there.
There were two game rooms on the first floor. Well… could I really call the second one a game room? The first one, definitely, but the second one wasn’t quite a game room despite the foosball table and game table. The bubble-blower, nectar maker, and nectar racks made it more of an entertainment room, I suppose.
Then there were the spa rooms. There was a big parlor with three massage chairs and three massage tables, as well as two saunas. And next door was a zen room with lots of yoga mats and two meditation stools. And next to the zen room was a gym, complete with a locker room and a shower room.
That was the front half of the first floor. Across the hall were more rooms with more activities. There was a photography studio directly across from the gym, complete with a backdrop and a professional camera. Family photos could be taken here.
Next to the photography studio was the living room. I’d spared no expense with the TV, it was the biggest one the SimRay catalog had. There was even a little holiday tree for Winterfest, and a fireplace for Father Winter to arrive through!
Next were the kitchen and dining room. I’d gotten every appliance the catalog had to offer, which left very little counter space available for cooking. But hey! at least I managed to fit a kotatsu table in the kitchen! And there were two bathrooms just off the dining room. You never knew when dinner would disagree with you!
Next up, the funeral room! As morbid as it was preparing for deaths, it was inevitable. And if my family was going to be a proper legacy family and live here for ten generations, then eventually death would take us. Having a proper funeral room was necessary for a legacy house.
The last room on the first floor was the library. I did love books growing up, and having space for them was a must in my new home. Plus, the library had plenty of room for studious activities, such as research, chess, and even a microscope!
Up to the attic, my favorite room in the house. Why was it my favorite? Why, because I managed to fit a bowling alley in the attic! Honestly, this house had everything! I really wouldn’t need to leave to find activities to do out in the community unless I wanted to. Everything my heart desired, I had it here at home.
Outside in the back of the house was a back deck, perfect for outdoor meals, sunbathing, swimming, and soaking in a hot spring. There was even a wedding area! Yeah, I really did think of everything, didn’t I?
In the front of the house was a playground for kids to play in, including toddler activities, a basketball hoop, and a treehouse. There was also a crypt for storing urns and graves, a wishing well, and yes, I was even able to afford a rocket ship kit. My dreams of going to space were achievable after all! And I even had §32,765 leftover!
Oh, yes, this was the perfect house for me!
